TYPE OF SURVEYS
Pre-purchase
Its purpose is to establish the overall condition of the vessel in terms of defects, maintenence, quality of build and to identify and assess any significant past repairs, damage or other factors in the structure or systems affecting the integrity, safety or seaworthiness of the vessel.
Moisture measurement
Elevated moisture levels in the GRP can lead to osmotic blistering which in turncan degrade the GRP´s integrity. Early detection allows for timely intervention and prevents further damage, saving both time and money.
Condition
When your insurance company or financial institution requests a survey on your vessel, it is usually for the purpose of getting an updated condition and value of your boat.
Damage Assessment
Damage Assessment or Dammage Surveys are usually requiered by an insurance company to assess the extent of damage to a vessel resulting from an accident, or incident.
